GN Drilling Waste Management Systems
GN Solids Control has many experience engineers in waste management area. In order to meet the demands of environment protection and make money from the waste oil, using GN drilling waste management systems would be one cost effective method.
GN drilling waste management systems is a pretty standard system mainly including one GN cuttings dryer and one decanter centrifuge, two positive pumps (one for cleaning and flushing the cuttings dryer when the work is finished, the other one is used for feeding mud into the decanter centrifuge), skid and tank as well as some other auxiliary equipments such as ladders, walkways, guiderails and lights etc.

GN Dredging System Mud Tank

Every year, GN Solids Control provides over hundreds of systems to solids control or mud recycling system. And GN is manufacturing about 350 to 400 sets shale shakers, 250 to 300 sets decanter centrifuges and 60 sets to 100 sets cuttings dryers.
As the fast development of GN Solids Control Co. and GN Solids America LLC, more and more companies are coming to GN for their mud separation solutions.

GN also providing various tanks to customers who are working in oil and gas, HDD, Dredging, CBM or TBM areas etc. During the past several months, GN got many inquiries on mud tanks. Some are pretty small one such as hundred bbl, while some are large mud plant such as 10,000 bbl.

For different areas, GN has customized solution for every client. Let’s take the dredging slurry mud system as an example. In order to better service the needs of dredging separation demands, GN has designed V type tank to satisfy their demands on clean the mud in the tank conveniently. Usually, there will be some mud fall on the bottom of the mud tank, and the mud can be cleaned out from the hole on both sides of the tank. Actually, this is not a easy job to do, many mud will be left inside no matter how hard you try to get them out.

But if you’re using GN V type tanks, tough thing will be just a cup of tea. GN has assembled one screw conveyor on the bottom of the mud tank, all the mud that fall off on the bottom will be conveyed by GN screw conveyor, so it will be separated thoroughly. When the separation work is finished, you can stop all the shale shakers on the bottom and start the screw conveyor to get the mud out.

GN also designed one square mud tank next to the V tank. The square mud tank can help to enlarge the capacity of this dredging system

Decanter Centrifuge buying guide

Decanter Centrifuge is the machine that use high rotating speed in gravity force to separate solids from water. The decanter centrifugeis also able to separate two liquids that differ in density as well if higher rotating speed is reached by more powerful motor which can produce higher RPM. Depending the RPM of the decanter centrifuge motor, it can produce the rotation force in 1000 times and beyond on normal gravitational force. The separation time need it from minutes to hours. The bowl tube that equip with internal conveyor rotate in extreme high speed that moves in same direction but at different velocity to achieve solids separation from liquid. Many industry such as oil and gas field, food processing field, chemical plant and environment treatment company are using decanter centrifuge. The only difference between these industry choosing decanter centrifuge is material in the rotating bowl. When choosing a decanter centrifuge, ensure wetted parts that makes contact with treat subject are made with high quality of steel. Decanter centrifuge use to treat chemical and subject that will cause corrosion like drilling fluid in oil and gas industry, the metal need to choose forged titanium or haste alloy. While food process industry, it is need to be aware of polished stainless steel because of buildup of bacteria.

Other factor need to consider while choosing decanter centrifuge is treating capacity. This is the volume of treating subject the centrifuge can process per minute. It is refer GPM (gallon per minute) since the purpose of decanter centrifuge is treating liquid to separate solids from it. Decanter centrifuge treating range can be from 5 to 1000 GMP. Another capacity to consider is the motor that drive the bowl, which can be range from 25 hp to multiple hundreds hp. If buyer is considering used decanter centrifuge, it need to know the prior industry and usage. This consideration is to avoid contamination, corrosive and hazardous material. Used vendors often offer immediate installation and aggressive pricing which is advantage for time and price sensitive projects.

GN solids America will attend OTC 2015 in Houston, TX, this is the 2^nd time to attend OTC since we established Houston warehouse in 2014 Feb. GN shale shaker has been developed to increase solids control performance in drilling fluids recycle, HDD industry, dredge slurry industry and fine screening systems. Two dynamic motors in a high configuration create linear motion at all points on the shaker deck maximizing the solids recovery, liquid throughput and reducing the fluid retention on cuttings.

1. Drilling Fluids Recycle

GN Shale shakers are widely applied for recovering the drilling cutting in the oil & gas drilling, water well drilling and other drilling industry. Large mesh shaker screens are capable of removing the large solids in the drilling fluids so contractor could reuse the drilling fluids and control budget. 585×1165mm pre-tensioned screen panel with hammer locking Wedge.
