At the 2025 China International Trenchless Technology Conference (ITTC), GN Solids Control made a powerful statement by presenting its most advanced slurry management solutions. The exhibition, a key event in Asia’s trenchless construction calendar, served as an ideal platform for GN to showcase how its technology is driving eco-conscious and efficient tunneling practices.
Sustainable Technology for Modern Infrastructure
With growing emphasis on reducing the environmental footprint of construction activities, GN Solids Control introduced two systems designed with sustainability at their core:
🔹 GNTBM-360B Slurry Separation System
This integrated solution is tailored for tunnel boring and pipe jacking operations. Equipped with the GNZS1536-2A double-deck shale shaker, it efficiently removes large and fine solids from bentonite slurry with vibration amplitudes adjustable from 4 to 8 mm. The system’s modular layout and high processing capacity ensure that drilling fluids are recovered and reused, minimizing fresh water usage and disposal volume.
🔹 GNLW632B Decanter Centrifuge
As part of the dewatering process, GN also displayed the GNLW632B, a large bowl centrifuge ideal for fine solids separation. The centrifuge plays a vital role in reducing slurry waste by extracting ultra-fine particles before the fluid is recycled or safely discharged. Its energy-efficient VFD drive system and wear-resistant build make it a reliable choice for long-term operations in demanding environments.
Eco-Efficiency Meets Field Practicality
Visitors at the GN booth were particularly drawn to the systems’ compact, containerized designs, which simplify onsite installation while reducing equipment footprint. These features are crucial for urban or restricted construction zones typical of trenchless projects. Furthermore, GN systems are engineered to operate continuously, helping contractors avoid costly downtime while staying aligned with local environmental regulations.
Partnering for Greener Infrastructure
GN Solids Control’s participation in ITTC 2025 emphasized more than just technology—it demonstrated a commitment to helping contractors achieve greener project outcomes. By enabling the reuse of drilling fluids and reducing solid waste, GN helps project owners not only meet but exceed environmental compliance standards.
From waste minimization to operational efficiency, GN’s slurry separation and dewatering solutions are transforming how trenchless construction is approached globally. As governments and private sectors prioritize sustainability, GN stands ready with the tools and expertise to support the next generation of underground infrastructure.
