GN Tank Cleaning System

GN Solids Control just developed one set of automatic Tank Cleaning System which can be used to treating the oil tank bottom sludge continuously. Now there have been several sets are used in the worksites.
GN Tank Cleaning System treating capacity is 30m3/h, it mainly includes the following two parts:
1. GN Surge Tank
GN Surge Tank stocks the water up to 7.5 m3/h. Water is pumped to the tank by one centrifugal pump, it’s used to clean the tank bottom under high pressure as those sludge need to be washed and diluted before feeding into the desilter cyclones.

GN Cuttings Pump is used to feed into the desilter cyclones. There are 6 sets desilter cyclones assembled on the top of the tank. As we know, the desilter cyclones are take advantage of the gravity to separate out large solids in the sludge.
2. GN Slant Treating Equipment

The after treated sludge is feed into the slant clarifier which is assembled with many pieces of stainless steel lamella plate. GN Slant Treating Equipment is especially designed to remove solids from waste slurry. Those lamella plates have the same angle of 55 degree with the horizontal line.
Water is discharged from the outlet on the upper part. While one set of screw conveyor is fixed on the triangle tank bottom, it’s used to transfer those thick particles.
GN Tank Treating Systems are easy maintenance and operating. As the main equipment in this system, GN Slant Treating is designed into a pretty compact structure which can be moved among different worksites as well.
GN Solids Control also provide dosing unit for better separation together with GN Tank System. Chemicals or flocculent can be added automatically before sending to GN treating equipment. All those flocculent systems can be put in one standard container for fast moving.

GN Oil Slurry Treating Plant for Africa

Recently, GN Solids Control has provided some turnkey oil slurry treating systems to Europe and Africa. GN oil slurry treating systems are mainly used on treating thick oil slurry such as bottom oil tank slurry, refinery slurry etc. By using GN oil slurry system, solids, oil and water can be separated into different parts.

1. GN Shaker Tank
By using one GN vacuum pump, the oil slurry can be transferred to the shaker tank. GN shale shaker separates the solids larger than 100 microns, coarse solids are collected by a catching tank below the shaker.
In order to keep the separated slurry from sediment, GN mud agitators are also fixed on the shaker tank and kept rotating.
2. GN Centrifuge Tank
The after treated slurry is added and mixed with different Acid or Alkali in order to have the proper value. Polymer and chemicals are added into the decanter centrifuge tank, so the finer solids can be separated out by GN decanter centrifuge.
In order to keep the thick slurry running well, GN shaker tank and GN centrifuge tank are also assembled with heating lines.
3. GN Slant Clarifer
GN slant clarifier is especially designed to separate small solids in the oil and water by gravity. Many pieces of slope metals are assembled inside to help separate. This is the first separation phase for oil and water.
4. Oil &Water Separator
GN oil and water and separator is used to separate oil and water separately. There is one oil surge tank and water surge tank fixed after the oil and water separator, they are used to feed the water and oil into the afterwards oil tank and water tank separately.

GN Dredging System to Separate Finer Solids

GN Solids Control is leading solids and liquid separation manufacturer. GN whole product line includes shakers, desanders, desilters, decanter centrifuges and cuttings dryers. GN Solids Control provides standard treating system to meet customers urgent demands, while for those customers have special demands, GN Solids Control also provides customized solutions.
Recently, GN Solids Control has received many inquiries on the dredging slurry treating. In the past, GN Solids provided many slurry treating systems with shakers, desanders and desilters. As we know GN desilters are assembled with 4 inch cyclones, they can separate the solids larger than 25 microns. While some other customers have higher demands on the slurry particles, GN Solids Control recommends using decanter centrifuge with flocculent system.gn-dredging-system
Generally speaking, typical dredging slurry includes 5~20% solids, 0~70% coarse debris (usually larger then 6mm),10~100% sands (diameter is around 0.07~6mm) and finer particles like clays or silts or organics 0~100% (diameter is less than 0.07mm). In order to separate out those finer solids, GN centrifuge is a necessary choice.
Let’s take one GN 350GPM treating system as an example:
1. Double deck shaker
GN double deck shaker is using opening mesh screen on the top deck to separate the large materials out, while the bottom deck shaker is using common composite API shaker screens.
2. Desander
One GN 10 inch desander cyclone is used after the double deck shaker. Desander cyclone to separate the solids larger than 55 microns. One centrifugal pump is also fixed on the tank to feed the cyclone.
3. Flocculent System
GN flocculent system has a compact structure, all the devices are put in one 20ft standard container. Flocculent will be mixed thoroughly with the slurry separated from desander, those slurry is feed into the GN centrifuge by GN screw pump.
4. Decanter Centrifuge
Two sets GN decanter centrifuge GNLW453 are used for treating finer solids. As the flocculent system helps to collect all those finer solids and get larger, they will be easily separated out by GN centrifuge. Due to the increasing of the gravity, the solids percentage is getting bigger, so centrifuge actual working capacity is around 350GPM.

This year, GN Solids Control will exhibit one decanter centrifuge GNLW363 in this show. GNLW363 is a 14inch rotating bowl decanter centrifuge, which are largely used by customers for various solids control and drilling waste management. Just several months ago, GN Solids Control delivered more than 10 sets decanter centrifuges to Baker Hughes. GN decanter centrifuges have been widely proved to be one of the most cost-effective equipment for solids and liquid separation.
Besides this Singapore show, GN Solids Control also came back from the ADIPEC show with some prospects. GN Solids Control also joins the OTC every year with 2 booths. GN Mining System for South America Customer

GN Solids Control is especially good at manufacturing mud treating and recycling systems. Most of GN mud systems are using in oil and gas area for providing clean drilling fluids. GN mud systems are largely used in some other industries, such as the diamond drilling, core drilling, mining etc. Just some days before, GN Solids Control provided one set of mining dewatering system.
This system is including one mini shaker GNZS752 and one mini centrifuge GNLW223. Both of those above equipment are located on one mud tank.
It is well known that GN Solids Control shakers are effectively used as the first phase separation. GN Solids Control also produces shaker screens in many different sizes, basically, the well-known shaker screens that you have ever seen in the market can be manufactured by GN Solids Control. GN manufactures various of replacement shaker screens for world famous shaker screens such as National, Fluid System, King Cobra, Derrick etc. GN Solids Control also manufactures its own size shaker screens for GNZS752 and some other models.

GN Mini Centrifuge and Mini Shaker
Mining slurry is treated by GN mini shaker firstly, coarse solids can be separated out by GN shaker. Slurry is feed into the mini 9 inch decanter centrifuge with a screw pump after treated by shaker. Here the mini centrifuge separate out the solids larger than 2~5 microns.
GN Solids Control built this mining slurry system in a compact design. Shaker and centrifuge are all fixed on a small mud tank which has two compartments: one compartment is used to stock the slurry separated by the shaker, while the other tank is used to stock the overflow from the shaker tank. Clean fluids discharged from mini centrifuge will also be stocked in the second compartment.

In order to add and mix chemicals conveniently, GN Solids Control also add one mud hopper for this treating system. One control cabinet to control the centrifugal pump is also assembled for on and off.

GN Made Great Success in the 20th International Trenchless Show

GN Solids Control just came back from the 20th International Trenchless Technology Conference 2016 with great success. The 20th conference was held in Beijing Conference Center, during this show there had been a large quantity of professional visitors come to this show and share experiences as well as exchange opinions.
During this show, GN Solids Control exhibited one set of 500GPM mud treating system and one set small centrifuge. GN Solids Control has designed and manufactured whole mud treating and recycling mud systems for global no dig industries for many years. Until now, GN Solids Control mud systems have been successfully used in over 60 countries. GN manufactures economy mud systems and high configuration systems, most of these systems are used by global large customer such as Vermeer, Major Drilling, Schrumm and CNPC etc.


With these years’ fast development, GN Solids Control has provided two choices for our customers: one is standard mud system, like to GNMS-500D exhibited in this show; the other mud system is all customized based on customers’ detailed demands.
For those standard mud systems, GN Solids Control is able to manufacture them in a really short period before leave factory. And they can be put into use immediately. GNMS-500D is designed and manufactured in a pretty compact structure: one desander is mounted on the top of settling tank where a centrifugal pump is fixed. Drill slurry is feed into the bottom shaker first, where the coarse solids will be separated out. Then centrifugal pump will be used to feed into the desander cyclone for further separation. There is also a second deck shaker with finer screens, slurry discharged from the cyclones with the treated by this deck again. A clean drilling fluid is stocked in the bottom declined tank and can be reused for drilling.
Sometimes, a mini centrifuge will be used for further separation. GN 9 inch rotating bowl decanter centrifuge can be used in this situation. While sometimes for large volume treating, you might need a 30inch bowl decanter centrifuge.

GN Cuttings Dryer and GN Hi-G Shaker for Treating Oil Cuttings

GN Solids Control has provided thousands of oil cuttings treating equipment. Divided by the oil cuttings, GN Solids Control has Cuttings Dryer to treat the oil cuttings and Hi-G Shaker to treat the water cuttings. GN decanter centrifuges are also widely used after treated by the above equipment. Clean drilling fluids can be reused and send back to the drilling rigs.
Now there are many large customers are using GN Solids Control and Drilling Waste Management equipment, such as Baker Hughes are using GN Cuttings Dryers and Decanter Centrifuges for oil cuttings separation. GN Hi-G shaker and decanter centrifuges are also very popular in treating water cuttings, such as COSL which is one of the largest oil service company in China.

GN Cuttings Dryer’s running speed up to 900RPM, when the separation factor is 420G. It’s effectively used in separation of cuttings in the liquid, with patented design of high-chromium cast iron scraper. GN Cuttings Dryer can be used for a long service life, with high-pressure air knife assembly which can effectively prevent the inside screen basket block. Independent oil cooling system is effectively used to meet the high temperature environment.
Treating capacity is 30-50 tons per hour ( processing capacity varies when we treat different drilling fluids with different mud density and viscosity). GN Cuttings Dryer‘s drying efficiency and processing precision have reached the International standards.

Decanter Centrifuge
GN Hi-G shaker is using world famous vibrator: USA Martin and Italy OLI. Many shakers delivered to Houston are without motor and they will be assembled with USA local vibrators. With the large G force reach to 8.0 G, GN Hi-G shaker is effectively used in treating the water cuttings. Four pieces of shaker screens are assembled on GN shaker. GN Solids Control also manufactures composite material shaker screens, which can be used for a much longer time without broken when compared with metal frame shaker screens.

GN Delivered 1500GPM Mud System for Hong Kong Client

GN Solids Control has provided many sets of large mud recycling systems to Asia clients. Just several days before, GN Solids Control finished the manufacturing of one set 1500 GPM mud system for one client in Hong Kong.
GN Solids Control designs and manufactures various mud treating systems, from standard mud systems such as 200 GPM, 300 GPM, 500 GPM to 1000 GPM. Customized mud systems are also manufactured based on clients’ demands.
This 1500 GPM mud is one turnkey solution for mud treating and recycling. In this system, there are two sets shale shakers, one set mud cleaners (with 3 sets 10 inch desander cyclones and 16 sets 4 inch desilter cyclones). All those shale shakers and mud cleaners are assembled on one mud tank. GN centrifugal pumps are also provided for provide the slurry into those two size cyclones.

One separate mud compartment is used to mixing the clean mud with GN mud agitator. Sometimes, one GN jet mud mixer is also equipped on the mud treating and mixing system for adding new chemicals.
GN control boxes are fixed on the mud tank skid, they are used to control the on and off of mud agitators and centrifugal pumps. One auxiliary ladder is also fixed for convenient work and easy maintenance.
In recent years, GN Solids Control has been improving the solids control as well as drilling waste management systems. GN shakers have been already provided to working under various situations. Shearing mixing hopper and jet Mud Mixing System for drilling mud system

Jet mud mixing system is a normal and necessary part of most kind of drilling mud systems and liquid mud plant (LMP). It is used to prepare new mud and qualified mud, and service for drilling activities. The mud mixing system can be used to mix oil based mud (OBM), water based mud (WBM), as well as synthetic based mud (SBM).

Jet mud mixing system is actually a combination of mixing pump, mixing hopper and control panel. All of them connected by pipelines, they can be mounted on the tank separately per tank layout. They can also be mounted on the same skid as a complete unit.

The jet mixing hopper is also called shearing hopper. It can be mounted on different position of the mud cleaning system for different purpose.

Centrifugal pump is the most popular pump model for jet mud mixing system. Another pump model is shearing hopper. Clients can choose motor drive mixing pump, or diesel engine drive mixing pump, to meet for different demands.

1) The jet mixing hopper can be mounted on the top of the mud tank. Advantage of the tank top hopper is easy for mixing chemical as the gravity. But you should to consider lifting of the chemicals. Sometimes, it is even 1 ton big bag. you should consider the necessary device to help for the chemical lifting. Operation table and crane cradle is the popular way to service for it.

2) The normal way is to put the shearing mixing hopper on the tank skid, next to centrifugal mixing pump. The mixing performance may not as good as on the tank top, but also acceptable. And it is easier for the chemical lifting.

3) Another way for the shearing hopper is on a separate skid with centrifugal mixing pump and control system. The complete is in a separate skid. It is more flexible for application. Users is easy to more the mixing unit from one jobsite to another jobsite, or move it from one tank for another.
