GN Vertical Cutting Dryer and Screw Conveyor for Drilling Company

GN Solids Control has served oil gas industry for more than 13 years. We mainly produce solids control equipment for drilling mud treatment and also the drill cutting process. Last month we just shipping one cutting dryer and screw conveyor to Africa to oilfield drilling field.

The drilling mud carry lots solids from well, after separation by the shale shaker. The clean mud will return back to mud system for drilling again. But the discharged drill cutting from shaker still very wet, which involved lots of drilling mud. As we all know drilling mud has lots high pollution chemical material, it can continuously influence the soil for many years, and drilling mud is very expensive. So we need to recycle these drilling mud as much as possible to reduce the pollution to environment and also save the cost of mud.

In this African project , screw conveyor can directly catch the discharged solids from shaker and transfer it into vertical cutting dryer. Inside dryer, there is cone shape basket with opening hole. Motor will drive the basket and generate separation force. Although solids and liquid both bear the separation force, but solids can not go through the opening hole, because the diameter is higher than the basket hole. The liquid mud will go through the basket and be collected. The primary is similar with dry function of washer. Dewatered solids will down to bottom of dryer and transport away for further process.

As usually, vertical cutting dryer is used for oil base drilling mud. Sometime client use it for water base mud, the solids may block the opening. So we do not suggest client use it for water base mud. After treatment , 95% percent of drill mud can be recovery. However the recovered liquid need to be further treated by decanter centrifuge to remove out bigger size particle, and then turn back to solids control system.

Client also purchased 1 unit 201 screw press dewatering machine and 1 unit 202 screw press, the 101 model equipped 1 500L/hour chemical dosing unit to feeding polymer. Screw press dewatering machine is good at separate out the material that solids content less than 5%, especially in some soft bio material. But if the particle is too small smaller than 10um. It is hard for machine to separate, we need to polymer to combine small particle to big one. The automatic chemical dosing unit can adjust and feeding medicine to material ,and help screw press to get better separation effect.

Construction Slurry Dewatering System Working in North America Company

Our Houston branch GN Solids America LLC just sold one dewatering system to local for construction slurry treatment. This system will be used to remove out solids from slurry and recycle water from sludge. The recycled waste will be used again as building material.

This system is not only applicant for construction slurry, but also hydrovac sludge treatment. It is a integrated system, which can sort out different size particle. The system include slurry catching hopper, mining shale shaker, mud cleaner, decanter centrifuge and also chemical dosing unit. The catching hopper has a steel filter in the surface, customer can directly dump waste into the hopper, the hopper will filter out big stone to avoid it damage separation equipment. slurry though the hopper drown into mining shake. It is a big shaker with large treating capacity, in this step. The grave and big size sand, these discharged can be used as building material. Discharged liquid will feed into mud cleaner. The mud cleaner include 10 inch hydrocyclone and 4 inch hydrocyclone. 10 in hydrocyclone is for removing particle size bigger than 60um, 4inch is to remove out bigger there 25um. Mud cleaner also mounted a bottom shaker with high mesh screen, it can separate the fine tiny.
In some project, the slurry after treating by mud cleaner is enough for reuse, but in some special project ,customer will require to get the liquid mucus cleaner much better. So we will feed liquid into Decanter centrifuge for finally separation. Different with shale shaker, it utilize centrifuge force generated in high rotated speed. Different density material under this high G force will be separate off. If the solids particle smaller than 5 um, flocculant will be feed through chemical dosing unit to combine tiny solids into bigger to help Decanter centrifuge to separate out these solids.

In most waste management project, the waste material normal include vary kinds material, not only water, but also oil. This week we delivered one unit tricanter centrifuge to Africa client for the oil tank sludge treatment. Different with 2 phase Decanter centrifuge ,tricanter is 3 phase separator for liquid liquid solids separation. Which principle is same with decant centrifuge. Through the high rotating speed generate the high G force, the different undissolved material will bear different G force due to their density is different. and then the different material will be in different layer. The high density solids will settle down to the bottom of Decanter centrifuge. And the lighter solids will be on the up layer.

The most application of tricanter centrifuge is for oil water solids 3 phase separation. It equipped a centripetal pump inside the centrifuge rotating bowl, and it will pump the oil out of centrifuge. The solids will be push forward and discharged from small end of centrifuge, water discharged from big end. In this Africa project, waste material from the bottom of oil sludge tank. Which include large crud oil ,water and solids. Customer want to separate out the solids , water. And get the clean crude oil.
These waste was flushed thorough high pressure water. And through screw press to feed it into 3 phase decanter centrifuge. Under the more than 2000 G force, water oil and solids will be separated. In some project, we may add the shale shaker to treat the material first to remove out the big size particle, and reduce the solids content. Finally feed it into 3 phase decanter centrifuge. The low solids content will improve the treating capacity of centrifuge and also get good separation performance.

GN Decanter Centrifuge and Disc Centrifuge for Fermentation Liquid Separation

One our Canada client asked give out solution for the fermentation liquid separation. This fermentation is from animal manure, client want us remove out the solids as much as possible. It is different with other separation project ,because the solids content is small.

According to the data sheet of material, the solids content is less than 5%, and the most of the particle is smaller than 75um. As usually we will suggest client to add flocculant chemical to material to combine the tiny solids into bigger ,and then feed it into decanter centrifuge. But in this project, it is forbidden to add any chemical medicine. That is the biggest challenge in this project. One other challenge is the flow rate is 25m3/Hour.

In this kind project, 2 phase disc centrifuge is the best optional, but due to the huge treating capacity, we need to use several sets disc centrifuge as it treating capacity is only 8m3/Hour. That will increase the cost of equipment. After discuss with engineer, firstly we will feed the material into decanter centrifuge to reduce the solids content as much as possible, and then feed the liquid into disc centrifuge. The lower concentration liquid will improve the separation capacity of disc centrifuge.
In this project, client have no requirement to the dryness of discharged solids, so we do not need extra dryer facility for further treatment. because the discharged solids from disc centrifuge is very wet, it through the flush water to discharge solids. Different with disc centrifuge ,the discharged solid from Decanter centrifuge is very drey,but the liquid is not as clean as disc centrifuge.
GN Decanter treating capacity from 6 cube meter to 120 cube meter with vary model ,and the disc centrifuge capacity is between 1 cube meter to 25 cube meter. Large Mud Decanter Centrifuge System for TBM engineering company

Last week we delivered 1 set slurry processing system to customer for their TBM project. Tunnel boring is one very popular system to for the tunnel project , especially for some city subway building. In the boring program, it also need drilling mud to cool the rig machine and flush the solids ,and take it our from the tunnel. This will consume large water to mix the drilling mud. Drilling mud is very expensive and high pollution, it is very necessary to recycle it for reuse.

In this customer project, the job site is at downtown of city. The customer require our system to dryer the solids as much as possible to convenient transportation. And do not allow the liquid out of system and pollute the job site. This project is in winter, so we load all equipment into container to make sure the equipment will work under the best most adapt temperature. For this project, we recommend our GNLW764 Decanter centrifuge and chemical dosing unit .GNLW764 is the biggest Decanter model of GN, the diameter of centrifuge bowl is 760mm , and the length is 4 times of diameter. The wider bowl diameter means the Decanter can generate biggest G force under the same rotated speed. Actually, this model Decanter will generate 3000G force when the speed reach 2600 RPM. The discharged solids will be dry enough. The model Decanter capacity is 140m3/hour, we only need one unit to finish all the slurry processing job.

Except Decanter centrifuge, the automatic chemical dosing unit will mix flocculant and feed it into material. The tiny particle smaller than 5 um will combine into bigger particle by the flocculant influence. It will help decater centrifuge to separate out the solids and get more clarify mud. In the system , you may see the discharged solids from Decanter cent will be directly transfer away by screw conveyor. All the treating process need less labor work.

Decanter Centrifuge for Tannery Wastewater Treatment

China is a leather manufacturing country and consumption country, the output and demand are very huge. The leather industry has caused great pollution to the environment. With the concept of environmental protection deeply rooted in the people, whether the pollution discharge of leather wastewater can be effectively solved directly affects whether the leather industry can continue to survive, develop healthily and steadily.

Leather production is mainly wet operation, through physical, chemical and mechanical processes of various raw materials into finished leather. Because most of the work has water as the medium, the preliminary statistics of each production of 1 ton of raw material skin to discharge 60~120 tons of wastewater. In the process of leather production, there is a huge amount of water consumption and sewage discharge demand. Leather wastewater is a kind of industrial wastewater which is difficult to treat. The application of decanter centrifuge to the treatment of tannery wastewater is a technological progress.

Analysis of tannery wastewater, sewage mainly comes from the wet operation preparation section and tanning section of tannery production, including soaking wastewater in leather soaking section, degreasing section wastewater, soaking and removing ash and washing section wastewater, acid leaching wastewater, chrome tanning process wastewater and dyeing grease wastewater, which makes the converging wastewater contain a large amount of organic matter (protein, dye, grease), inorganic matter (sulphide chromium salt, etc.) and sediment harmful substances such as wool residue oil sludge. The practice shows that good economic and environmental benefits can be obtained by using decanter centrifuge to participate in the treatment of tannery wastewater. It can not only change the working environment of leather processing place, but also make the pollutants stable Standard, and the cost of wastewater treatment per ton can be reduced by nearly half, realizing the win-win of environmental and economic benefits.

Through biochemical method, the organic components were decomposed and transferred, and the inorganic components were flocculated and precipitated by horizontal screw centrifuge. The main facilities are grille, pre-regulating tank, primary settling tank, oxidation ditch, secondary settling tank, air floatation tank, sludge thickening tank, sludge scum recovery facility and medicament dosing facility;

Pretreatment: waste water through fine grille can intercept a large number of floating matter, iron oxide and suspended matter, it can achieve the purpose of continuous removal of various shapes of small debris, verify the normal operation of subsequent treatment process equipment, in order to reduce the load of subsequent treatment structures;
