In generally, there are totally 3 types separation , dewatering, clarification, and separation. Dewatering is to remove out the liquid phase in the solid phase, and clarification is to remove the solid phase in the liquid phase. Concentration is to make solids in the solution increases.

Dewatering is to remove out liquid from solid as much as possible. As usually, user want to get the discharged solids much dryer much better. To reach this target, the sludge need to stay more longer time inside centrifuge bowl, and solids content of discharged liquid is high relatively speaking. The cone angel was designed smaller to speed liquid discharge ,and make solid phase stay longer time in side centrifuge. Totally opposite with dewatering centrifuge ,clarifying centrifuge require to bigger cone angel as much as possible. Big cone angel will increase the length of liquid processing section, which can make the liquid stay longer inside centrifuge. User usually can get the clean liquid and wet solids. Except the above both types , separation centrifuge make it balance for discharge solids and liquid. Cone angel is in the middle between dewatering and clarify.
The cone angel of centrifuge decided the application of decanter. So when we select centrifugal model ,we need to clear what purpose we want, what treating capacity you need, and also the solids content. The centrifuge capacity is depend on the solids content of material. High content will reduce capacity. Except this, we also need to pay attention to bowl material. As usually ,centrifuge use the high strength stainless steel such as SSR 205,316L. When process slurry with chloridion , make sure the chloridion content is below the Limit, otherwise it will corrosive steel ,and damage it.

This dewatering system was used to treat the sludge dredged from Quebec lake. Remove out the solids and clench the water, and then discharge water back lake. It is a huge system, actually our equipment is just partial of the whole project, and in charges of the mechanical separation. After our system, it also equipped other machine for the water purification. What we provide is shale shaker, desander, desilter , Decanter centrifuge, screw conveyor and also mud tank. The sludge transfer into shale shaker and desander for primary separation to remove out the big size particle. After that , the discharged liquid need to feed into Decanter centrifuge to separate out particle smaller than 60um. In this project, we built 2 unit GNLW764 Decanter centrifuge, which is the biggest model of GN. The designed treating capacity is 140 cube meter per hour, and actual capacity is about 120 cube meter. This 764 model was especially designed for waste water treatment project to meet client requirement to big capacity.

Sometimes the clean water can be used as drilling fluid in well drilling. But for deep well and complex drilling, water is not enough. There need to add other material such as barite, clay, salt, oil to increase the mud density to reach the using. In actual drilling project, drilling mud is more complex than we are thinking. Drilling fluid cost is an important part of the cost of the whole drilling project, which is usually expressed by the cost per unit footage, which involves the cost of some complex accidents (and can be avoided) encountered in the process of drilling and merging, such as sticking.
In many cases, the cost of drilling fluid also includes solid control, waste management and waste disposal. Therefore, it is equally important to reduce the cost drilling .Special maintenance and equipment are required to control the solid content of well fluid . If the waste liquid and cobalt cuttings produced by cobalt well fluid cannot be directly discharged into the surrounding environment, but must be transported away, generally speaking, it will also increase the cost of drilling fluid. Until now, the waste water-based drilling fluid can be directly discharged into the surrounding environment without any treatment. In many areas, government regulations prohibit the use of chromium containing substances, such as chromium lignosulfonate. In many areas, the use of chloride, nitrate and potassium salts in drilling fluid is forcibly limited, or the more common practice is the total conductivity of drilling fluid. Oil based drilling fluid, especially offshore, tends to be more limited than water-based drilling fluid, only oil-based drilling fluid with zero discharge measures (sometimes referred to as closed-loop system) can be used. In the United States, if the toxicity and biodegradability of synthetic based drilling fluid meet the standard requirements and do not produce fluorescence, it can usually be directly discharged into the sea. From this point of view, although the direct cost of synthetic based drilling fluid is generally higher than that of oil-based drilling fluid, its treatment cost is often lower. In this way, the use of synthetic based cobalt drilling fluid can be more economical than oil-based drilling fluid.

GN Separation Equipment for Manure Treatment

Separation equipment is one main business of GN, which include screw press dewatering machine , Decanter centrifuge ,disc centrifuge, shale shaker and also mud cleaner. This manure fermentation liquid include about 10% solids , and particle between 3 to 70 um. As usually , it is not allowed to mix polymer such as flocculant. Because sometimes, they will use these liquid for irrigation. That makes project hard to remove out solid. For this situation , we recommend Decanter centrifuge as the first stage separation equipment . The separation G force of Decanter centrifuge can reach 3000G, it can separate out 90% particle bigger than 5um. Reduce the solids content between 2%-4%. The discharged solids moisture is about 50%, which seems very dry by naked eyes. The discharged liquid will feed into disc centrifuge for further treatment. The solids content has been reduce below 4%, which is very appropriate for disc to separate. The separation of disc centrifuge can reach 7000-8000G. even the tiny solids can be separated. However, disc centrifuge is good to clarifying liquid. The discharged solids is very wet, client need to dry it by other equipment.

Different with normal pump, GN solids vacuum pump driven by pressure air provided by air compressor. And this pump can transfer dry solids that smaller than 75mm , and it is good at pump high solids control material such as drilling cutting ,sludge that the normal pump can not pump. The special application makes solids vacuum pump become one of the most popular equipment in market. Vacuum pump does not have complex structure, only one mud tank with several air control valve. Utilize the high pressure to make a vacuum space in mud tank inside, and then suck material into tank. Finally input air into mud tank to push the material to discharge out. This simple structure is also one the bigger advantage of this pump,more simple structure,more stable quality.
However, this pump still wold be some issue after long time using. Most times, these problem was caused by the dirty air. Even there is air filter inside the vacuum pump ,but some things dirty still may block air line of pump. Inside of control box, there is one 5-way valve ,which is used to Switch air flow direction to control material loading and uploading. When the pump do not work well, Most time it was cause by the blocking of 5 way valve. Client can disconnect the hose of top and bottom valve. And then connect air source, through high pressure to blow out the dirty inside of the valve and finish the valve cleaning. Finally, return the hose position and run the pump again.
