Efficient drilling fluid management is essential for maintaining stable drilling performance across different types of drilling operations. From mineral exploration to oil drilling and trenchless construction, reliable solids control equipment helps operators improve fluid recycling, reduce waste, and lower operational costs. Recently, GN Solids Control successfully delivered multiple centrifuge units and solids control equipment packages to an overseas drilling company for a variety of drilling applications.
The project includes two sets of diesel engine-driven hydraulic centrifuges GNLW223D-FHD designed for exploration core drilling projects. Compared with conventional electrically driven systems, the hydraulic-driven centrifuge offers excellent flexibility and adaptability for remote drilling locations where power supply conditions may be limited. Powered by a diesel engine and hydraulic transmission system, the GNLW223D-FHD can operate reliably in challenging field environments while maintaining stable separation performance.

These centrifuges are specifically designed to remove fine solids from drilling fluids generated during mineral exploration and core drilling operations. By reducing the solids content in the drilling fluid, the system helps improve drilling efficiency, protect drilling tools, and extend the service life of the mud system. The compact structure and skid-mounted design also make transportation and on-site deployment easier for exploration projects located in remote areas.
In addition to the hydraulic centrifuge units, the customer also purchased one set of GNLW363D-VFD decanter centrifuge for an oil drilling project. Equipped with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) control system, the centrifuge allows operators to adjust bowl speed and differential speed according to changing drilling conditions. This flexibility enables more precise solids separation and improved drilling fluid performance during oilfield operations.

The GNLW363D centrifuge is widely used in drilling fluids solids control systems for fine solids removal and barite recovery. Its high processing efficiency and stable operation make it suitable for demanding drilling applications where fluid quality control is critical.
Furthermore, the project also includes one GNZS593 shale shaker combined with one GNLW363D decanter centrifuge for a Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) mud treatment project. The shale shaker serves as the primary solids control equipment to remove coarse cuttings, while the centrifuge further separates fine particles from the drilling fluid. Together, the system helps contractors recycle drilling mud efficiently and reduce waste discharge during trenchless drilling operations.

This diversified equipment package demonstrates GN Solids’ capability to provide customized solids control solutions for different drilling industries, including mineral exploration, oil and gas drilling, and non-excavation construction projects.
With advanced manufacturing capability and extensive international project experience, GN Solids continues to support global customers by delivering reliable, efficient, and field-proven drilling fluid treatment equipment for challenging applications worldwide.
