GN Solids Control is proud to announce the launch of its new workshop dedicated to material separation testing, designed to provide customers with practical demonstrations and verification of solids control and separation technologies. This new facility allows clients to send their own material samples for on-site testing, or request GN engineers to conduct trials directly at the project site. By doing so, customers can evaluate actual separation performance before making critical equipment selections.
The workshop is equipped with a series of modular testing stations, each focusing on different GN product lines and separation processes:
Mining Vibrating Screen Testing Module
This unit simulates large-scale mining applications where materials such as ores, tailings, or aggregates require efficient classification. It enables testing of various screen mesh sizes, vibration modes, and throughput rates.
Drilling Shale Shaker Testing Module
Replicating the working conditions of oil and gas or HDD drilling, this station evaluates the performance of GN’s shale shakers under different mud properties. It provides real-time feedback on solids removal efficiency and fluid recovery.
Decanter Centrifuge Testing Module
Featuring GN’s industry-proven decanter centrifuges, this setup is designed to test sludge, drilling mud, or industrial slurry. With adjustable G-force and bowl speed, it helps clients identify the best operational parameters for fine solids separation.
Combined Separation Testing Module (Shale Shaker + Centrifuge)
For projects requiring multi-stage treatment, this module combines GN shale shakers with centrifuges, demonstrating how the integration of coarse and fine separation equipment delivers cleaner fluids and reduces waste volume.
Solids Vacuum Pump Testing Module
Designed for handling slurries, sludge, and even high-viscosity or high-specific-gravity materials, this station highlights the robust suction and discharge capability of GN’s pneumatic vacuum pumps.
Through this comprehensive testing workshop, GN offers customers two levels of service:
In-House Testing – Clients can send their raw materials to GN’s facility, where dedicated engineers will perform trials and share detailed performance reports.
On-Site Testing – GN engineers can bring modular testing systems to customer locations, allowing trials under real operating conditions.
This new initiative reflects GN’s commitment to evidence-based equipment selection. Instead of relying solely on theoretical design data, clients can validate system performance with their own materials, ensuring that the selected equipment meets operational requirements in terms of separation efficiency, throughput, and reliability.
Moreover, the workshop plays a vital role in GN’s continuous product development. Data collected from real-world testing feeds directly into GN’s R&D process, helping engineers improve product designs and tailor solutions for industries such as mining, tunneling, oil & gas, environmental remediation, and industrial wastewater treatment.
By combining state-of-the-art equipment with practical, hands-on testing services, GN Solids Control reinforces its position as a global leader in solids-liquid separation solutions. Customers can now move forward with their investment decisions confidently, backed by proven performance data.
