GN Solids Control is proud to announce the successful delivery of a complete solids control system tailored for a 2000HP drilling rig to a leading drilling company in India. This milestone project once again demonstrates GN’s capability in delivering comprehensive and high-performance solutions for global drilling operations.
The customized solids control package is designed to meet the demanding requirements of deep drilling activities. It includes a full range of solids control equipment, beginning with one GNZYQ1200A Liquid-Gas Separator. This critical unit ensures safe and efficient gas separation from the drilling mud, protecting downstream equipment and improving safety on the rig site.
The first stage of solids control is managed by three GNZS594K linear motion shale shakers, known for their high G-force and efficiency in removing large solids from drilling fluids. To remove entrained gas from the fluid, the system also includes one GNZCQ360 Vacuum Degasser, enhancing mud density stability and protecting centrifugal equipment.
The second and third stages of separation are handled by the GNZJ594K-2S12N Mud Cleaner, a combination of a desander and desilter integrated with a fine mesh shaker. This advanced design significantly reduces footprint while maintaining high separation performance, ensuring cleaner mud for recirculation.
To circulate the drilling fluids throughout the system, nine centrifugal pumps are included. These pumps are Mission-compatible and robustly designed for continuous service under tough field conditions.
The system is supported by ten mud tanks, providing ample space for fluid processing, mixing, and storage. Each tank is outfitted with the necessary internal piping and electrical fittings. To keep the fluids in motion and prevent solids settling, nineteen mud agitators are strategically installed. Additionally, seventeen mud guns are provided for supplemental agitation and tank cleaning.
For drilling fluid preparation, the package includes two jet mixing hoppers, allowing efficient mixing of new chemicals or bentonite into the active system. All equipment is powered and coordinated by an integrated electrical control system, engineered for reliability and operational safety.
